February 8, 2006: CNN.com: #1 and #2 fastest growing salary jobs are for CS Majors

CNN published a study by CareerBuilder.com that reports that the #1 fastest growing salary job is for a Computer Systems Software Engineer with a salary of $81,140. Additionally the #2 fastest growing salary job is for a Computer Applications Software Engineer with a salary of $76,310. Pete Nelson, Head of the UIC Department of Computer Science commented, ''The UIC Department of Computer Science offers CS degrees with options in both Computer Systems and Software Engineering. Our students have outstanding job prospects upon successful completion of our programs.''
