The
ADVIS Lab in the
Department of Computer Science at the
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), led by
Professor Isabel Cruz has a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to start as early as September 1, 2009. The initial appointment is expected to be for one year.
Candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science or complete all degree requirements by the beginning of their appointment. Candidates should have a strong research record in
data management with publications in highly competitive venues. Candidates with
data security background are especially encouraged to apply.

The Department of Computer Science, which belongs to the
College of Engineering, has 27 tenure and tenure-track
faculty members, including a highly visible data management research group. UIC is the largest public research university in the metropolitan Chicago area, a major national and international hub for diverse economic and cultural activities also known for its architectural beauty.
