I joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science at UIC in 2001. My main areas of research are databases, geographic information systems, semantic web, information visualization, and security. Current topics of research include semantic data integration, ontology matching, geospatial interoperability, context-aware role based access control, privacy-preserving record linkage, personal information management, and semantic desktop.
