B.S. in Industrial Engineering Program Educational Objectives
1. To prepare students with the appropriate breadth and depth in areas including (a) manufacturing and production, (b) systems engineering, (c) human factors and safety, and (d) contemporary computer software applications in order to work effectively as an Industrial Engineer in an industrial environment.
2. To prepare students to become professionals, who practice their trade ethically and with a strong sense of responsibility to the community.
3. To prepare students for independent life-long learning, and (as applicable) success in graduate studies.
4. To prepare students to be good technical communicators.
5. To give students design experiences as individuals and within teams.
