I am of the belief that love needs further definition in our society. There is the rush of love that a new couple feels. There is the love of an object such as a car or even a pet. Yet as far as I am concerned, true love means that you are interested in the betterment of the people around you. It means that your actions are directed at making people better people and that your actions are directed at making the world a better place to live in. Sometimes people say, "Why would I want to bring a child into this world?" Here is why; you can help a friend in need and you may profoundly affect their life. And, you can organize an event that helps the poor learn to read and improve many peoples lives for a while. Or you could build a Children's Hospital that has a lasting affect on people for years to come. But if you really do want to make the world a better place, then the most awesome thing you can do is have a child; and pour all of your wisdom and love into that child and send them into the future to make the world a better place for all mankind.
I feel that as a culture we fixate on the things we are not getting enough of. America is certainly fixated on sex. I recommend more for everyone, monogamous or otherwise.
Democrats and Republicans are two sides in a tug of war that no one should win. I believe that the conscious mind has trouble doing what it wants without wavering to each side a bit. And, in turn, I believe that as a society we also have trouble following a consistent clear vision for our country without wavering to each side a bit along the way. I feel that, if you smooth out the "fringe" issues like "will I get seven hundred or eight hundred dollars back from the tax man this year?" or "can I smoke in this building or not?" or "at what age can I drink?" and look at the core freedoms and rights that we as a people demand, you will find that we as a people speak with a relatively coherent voice. Our political system is a perfect example of our "conscious" attempts to hold this vision is line. When the Democrats seem to have gone "tax and spend" crazy we throw the edge towards the Republicans. And, summarily, when they seem to have gone "big business screws the little guy" we throw our support over towards the Democrats.

In contemporary times, when you are assaulted, it is in the best interest of your potential saviors to move away from the conflict. This is because there is little safety in numbers when guns are involved. However, if knives and fists where the extent of people's reach, then people would feel more comfortable coming to your aid. The consequence is that, in an atmosphere dominated by people carrying guns, you are actually more vulnerable than you were in the past.

What is up with this? Why do I need a caller-ID machine to tell me who called me? Isn't that what an answering machine does? And what's up with call waiting? I have a special system that "automatically" tells the person calling that I am on already talking to somebody else. It's called the "busy signal" and it's free. Furthermore, let's face it we've been screwed! When was the last time you told somebody in your city your phone number and they didn't ask you for an area code. If you ask me, when the telephone companies ran out of numbers they should have added a digit to everybody's number so that we could then have ten times the number of phones. Instead, they have proceeded to add area codes and shrink the size of area codes. Now there is no utility in having an area code. I require just as much information to call someone in Chicago as I do someone in San Francisco. I now have a ten digit phone number! Thanks a %$@#ing lot you idiots!
TICKETMASTER
My most recent "bend over and take it" experience was a call I made to get a couple of tickets to a show at the Riviera. The tickets were $19.95. Each ticket had a %$@#ing "convenience charge" of $5.00. When you add in the $2.50 "order processing fee" the total comes to $52.45. Oooh that felt good. But you know what really chaps my glutemus? The Riviera doen't even have a box office anymore. You couldn't inconvenience yourself by going there and getting the tickets personally if you wanted to!
IMPLANTS
My problem with implants is this; breasts are soft and mushy,
