Reading your mails

You can use Mail, Elm or PINE, but IMHO you'd be a damn fool to use the former two. Therefore henceforth we'll only be discussing how to use this fabulous PINE (PINE Is Not Elm) mailer.

At the Unix prompt merely type

pine

The rest you can basically figure out from the self-explanatory menu items.

Steps of becoming a PINE literate individual:

  1. For a jumpstart, ask the consultant on duty.
  2. For a deeper knowledge, read the whole document that pops up when you hit Enter on the
  3. ?     HELP               -  Get help using Pine
    line of the MAIN MENU.
  4. For further details regarding each screen, hit Ctrl-Geverywhere, or ? virtually everywhere (wherever no text input occurs) in PINE.
