The monviso /space/share area is designed for easy tranfer of files between the Suns and the PC.

On any Sun you can access the /pcshare file system
On the PC you can access the Network Neighborhood / monvisoshare file system

The piemonte /usr/local and /export/home areas are designed to give access to centrally installed software. Because piemonte is running out of space /export/lab has been added to support centrally installed software and other common resurces.

Printing Notes

Both the Poscript and PCL printer queues should work when you print from a PC program, as we have both types of printer drivers installed. When you are printing postscript from the PC, please use "Level 2" or "Level 1". (If you use "Level 3" you might get an error page printed instead.)

If you have a plain text file, you can print it to either the Postscript or PCL queue.
