Welcome to the Pyrite Tetris Help Page!!!!
Below is a description of the game and how to play:
Welcome to Pyrite Tetris, the lastest addition to the tetris family.
There have been many variations on the original tetris brought to US
from Russia. In this one a twist is added by unremovable pieces. In
all versions of tetris the goal is to stop the screen from "overflowing"
with falling blocks by creating a horizontal line of blocks that will in
response remove that line from the playing board and give the player
points toward their score. If the blocks do indeed overflow the screen
the game is over. The problem that the player must face in this variation
is that some of the pieces that fall will be Pyrite Pieces (called such
because while they are colored gold, like Iron Pyrite to gold miners,
they are usually considered bad) that can only be removed in 2 ways. The
first is to create a line of purely Pyrite Pieces. The second is to create
a Tetris elsewhere on the screen (A Tetris is created when 4 lines are
created by the placement of a single falling block) which will change all
existing Pyrite Pieces on the board into standard blocks for processing.
Since the the first method is fairly hard to accomplish, the bonus for
creating a Pyrite line is that it too will count as a Tetris (in both point
value and affect on other Pyrite Pieces) which will also remove all Pyrite
Pieces. To assist you in creating lines you have it in your ability to
rotate the falling pieces as they fall. The goal....Get as many points
as you can!!!!
