Indian food cnsists of lots of vegetables, spices, herbs, grains, rice. Significant portion of Indian food is Vegetarian. some Indian dishes also include chicken, gosta, lamb, fish and other meat. Many people say that Indian culture revolves around Indian food. Every day meal of an Indian consists of roti, rice, deserts, various accompaniments sucj as chutneys and pickles, stir fired vegetables, and many times lintile soup is also included. Eatting habbit of people in India varries from region to region. Indian cuisine can be split into four category: North Indian, South Indian, East Indian and West Indian. Vegetarianism has a great influ ence on Indian Cuisine. Over 31% of Indians are vegetarian.
Punjabi food can be both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. The main ingredient of punjabi food is onion, garlic, ginger. People from Punjab are experts in making tandoori food. Punjabi food is one of the best form on Indian cuisine.
South indain food consist of rice, litels, mild spices, garlic, coconut ginger, etc. Some of the well known dishes are: idli, dosa, sambhar, rasam, fish fry, uthappam, papadum, and many more.
West indian food cinsist of four major groups: Gujarati, Rajasthani, maharastrain, and goan. Each are entirely different form one another. Gujarati food is mostly vegetarian.
East indian food is famous for its sweets. Fish and sea food are also very popular. Its popular deserts are: Sandesh, Rasabali, Rasagolla, Chumchum, etc.
