My name is Shaoying He, most people call me Julie. I came from China to the United States at 15 before I finished Junior high school. I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. When I lived in China, I was interested in literature. I liked to read fiction, novel or comedy books whatever it is funny or sorrowful. I often read the entire book on one day, if I couldn't finish it, I can't sleep at night. But, after I came to Chicago, I can't face the literature anymore, because it is hard for me to understand its meaning. So, I became like to watch TV, especially the Chinese video.
Currently, I am a second year at UIC. My major is computer engineering. Right now I am taking EECS 101. I didn't have any Unix and HTML skill before take this course. When I studied at high school, I just learned some basic skill, like Word Processing, Database, Excel, Win 95. When I took this course, I have little nervous that I can't follow. But, it is ok. This course is fun and I can learn many new stuff. I very enjoy this class right now.
