Research

My research interest is focused on knowledge discovery from data. Currently I am working on text mining projects in Professor Bing Liu's lab, which is affiliated with the National Center for Data Mining.

Recent projects:

  • Designed and implemented a system to extract the main content block from Web news and interpret the time-related information in news articles.
  • Designed and implemented a hierarchical clustering algorithm to discover community of named entities from free text document.
  • Proposed and implemented a Timed PageRank algorithm to enhance information retrieval result by integrating the time dimension into the original PageRank algorithm.
