July 29, 2005: July 25-28, August 1-4: Building the Engineering Pipeline Intensive teacher training offered in partnership with Microsoft to area high school teachers, providing course credit, curriculum and software.

Intensive 4-day teacher training is being offered to area high school teachers and technology directors. Developed and offered in partnership with Microsoft, 30 teachers are learning about the latest Visual Studio .NET technology. Attendees who complete one of the free 30-hour training tracks are eligible for up to 3 credit hours of continuing education credit (through Microsoft and Seattle University), and additionally receive turn-key curriculum and a copy of both Visual Studio .NET and Microsoft Office. Though targeting area educators, several attendees have come from Iowa, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.

This training is offered as part of the CS Department?s efforts to enhance relationships with area high school computer science teachers. For program details see:
