February 16, 2006: CS jobs in the U.S. projected to increase by over 30% through 2014; 1.49 million new openings forecasted by US BLS

The Computing Research Association released a Bulletin on January 19, 2006 summarizing the most recent outlook by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics for computer science jobs. US BLS most recent forecast projects the number of CS jobs to increase by 30.5% between 2004 and 2014, creating over a million new jobs and approximately 1.5 million new openings (due to retirements).
