October 6, 2006: Prof. Robert Sloan receives the UIC Award for Excellence in Teaching

UIC Computer Science Professor Robert Sloan is a 2006-2007 recipient of the UIC Award for Excellence in Teaching, joining a very select group of faculty who have been acknowledged as UIC's most dedicated and outstanding teachers. Pete Nelson, Head of the UIC Department of Computer Science says, "The UIC Department of Computer Science has very high standards for offering a modern curriculum and quality of instruction. Professor Sloan has made outstanding contributions to our department's educational mission. Professor Sloan is also a nationally recognized expert in the areas of computer science and computer engineering education, having recently served on national task forces which have developed influential model curricula for both computer science and computer engineering."
