On Saturday, November 4th, 2006, UIC was host to eighteen teams of the ACM

International Collegiate Programming Contest. Dr. John Bell, with the help

of Mitch Theys, Paul Ford, and other student ACM@UIC members contributed into making the

contest a success. All of the visiting schools were suitably impressed with

the event. UIC registered three teams for the contest, all of which

respectably placed within the top third of the region.

Team UIC Sparks (Thomas Sakkos, James Longstreet, Ramon Franco) placed 6th

on site and 32nd regionally.

Team UIC Flames (Eli Block, Scott MacDonald, Andrei Warkentin) placed 7th on

site and 36th regionally.

Team UIC Dragons (Arnold Lee, Anup Kotadia, Eric Gesell) placed 16th on site

and 93rd regionally.
