July 12, 2012: MS student and WiCS president Jillian Aurisano receives scholarship to attend Grace Hopper Conference

CS MS student and Women in Computer Science organization president Jillian Aurisano received Palantir Technologies scholarship to attend Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing in October 2012 in Baltimore. She was selected from a competitive pool of over 1,000 applicants. The scholarship award covers registration, meals and accommodations and travel support.

Co-founded by Dr. Anita Borg and Dr. Telle Whitney in 1994 and inspired by the legacy of Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, the Institute?s Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) Of Women In Computing Conference is designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. It is the largest technical conference for women in computing and results in collaborative proposals, networking and mentoring for junior women and increased visibility for the contributions of women in computing.
