Lab Assignment 2

Due: Friday 6/26/2015 by 11:59 pm (i.e. midnight)

Write a C++ Program (using only the C+ subset as defined in lecture) that will:

  1. Print out your name
  2. Print out your net-id
  3. Print out CS 107 and Semester information (Summer 2015)
  4. Print our the Assignment Name and Number (Lab Assignment 1)
  5. Print out your lab time (Wednesday at 10am)
  6. Print out the additional information as described below:
Grade Calculation

For this assignment, you are to prompt the user to 6 integer values in the range from 0 to 100. These values will be used to simulate the scores for a class. The first two values will be the scores for 2 exams, while the last 4 values will be the scores for 4 homework assignments.

"Echo back" the six values entered back to the user after all six scores have been entered. The term "echo back" means to print the values entered by the user in some readable manner that including how each value will be used.

After reading in the six values you are to create a weighted average score were each exam counts for 30% of the final grade and each homework assignment counts for 10% of the final grade.

Based on this final grade, you are to determine a letter grade of A, B, C, D or F.

  • Final weighted average score of 90.0% or greater will get a letter grade of A
  • Final weighted average score less than 90.0% but greater than or equal to 80.0% will get a letter grade of B.
  • Final weighted average score less than 80.0% but greater than or equal to 70.0% will get a letter grade of C.
  • Final weighted average score less than 70.0% but greater than or equal to 60.0% will get a letter grade of D.
  • Final weighted average score less than 60.0% will get a letter grade of F.
After the letter grade has been determined, print out a message stating the final weighted average score and the letter grade for the information given.

Submission of the Lab

The lab must be submitted electronically to the Assignment Link for Lab 2 inside of Blackboard. You will only need to submit the C++ source code file (just the ".cpp" file, not the "a.out" file).

You are to name your program file using both your NET-ID and the Lab Number. Thus for Lab 2, if you NET-ID was ptroy4, your program should be named: ptroy4Lab2.cpp
