We will have guest speaker Prof. Justine Cassell from Northwestern University give a talk about her research followed by lunch and the opportunity to pick her brain and learn about her unique career path.

UIC WISE receives Google RISE Award -- 2/10/2010

The Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) organization at UIC (Veronica Arreola director) has received a 2010 Google RISE Award to support the activities of Women in Computer Science (WiCS) (student leader Anushka Anand and faculty advisor Prof. Tanya Berger-Wolf).

Google RISE (Roots in Science and Engineering) Awards are designed to promote and support science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and computer science (CS) education initiatives.

Keep an eye out for the great things to come supported by this award!
