The ADVIS Research Laboratory welcomes two visitors in 2010-2011: Matteo Palmonari and Michele Caci.

Matteo Palmonari is a Researcher from the University of Milan-Bicocca from where he obtained his PhD in 2006. In Milan-Bicocca he is a member of Professor Carlo Batini's group. He has carried out research in the field of Knowledge Representation and Semantic Web. During his visit, he will be working on web schema integration and on a modularization algorithm to support ontology matching. Here is a list of his publications.

Michele Caci has a BS from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". There he is a student of Professor Tiziana Catarci and has taken database classes from Professor Maurizio Lenzerini. Michele will be doing his MS thesis work at UIC on the subject of ontology matching. At UIC he is also taking graduate classes on Semantic Web and Software Engineering.
