Welcome to the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Zhichun Zhu, ECE assistant professor, has been awarded a five-year, $400,000 National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award to investigate the architecture for building this next generation of computers. link Sudip K. Mazumder, ECE associate professor, has received his 4th patent: "Fuel-cell based power generating system having power conditioning apparatus." The technique in the patent eliminates the need for separate power stages for fuel-cell and battery/energy-buffer units, thereby increasing power density and reducing cost. link
Student Carlo Giulietti (defended MS thesis, May 2010) along with co-advisors Profs. Ansari and Schonfeld received the Best Paper award at the 2010 ACM Workshop on Advanced video streaming techniques for peer-to-peer networks and social networking.
