Zhichun Zhu, ECE assistant professor, has been awarded a five-year, $400,000 National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award to investigate the architecture for building this next generation of computers. link |
Sudip K. Mazumder, ECE associate professor, has received his 4th patent: "Fuel-cell based power generating system having power conditioning apparatus." The technique in the patent eliminates the need for separate power stages for fuel-cell and battery/energy-buffer units, thereby increasing power density and reducing cost. link |
Student Carlo Giulietti (defended MS thesis, May 2010) along with co-advisors Profs. Ansari and Schonfeld received the Best Paper award at the 2010 ACM Workshop on Advanced video streaming techniques for peer-to-peer networks and social networking. This workshop is part of ACM Multimedia, held on October 25-29 in Firenze, Italy. link |
