The Department of Computer Science hosted more than 500 guests at UIC’s campus-wide open house on Saturday, September 22nd.  CS student volunteers, faculty and staff braved the morning cold and helped answer questions and guide visitors to various locations within the College of Engineering where CS students gather for classes, labs, advising, tutoring, extracurricular activities and studying.

The campus-wide open house was attended by more than 10,000 guests including prospective students and their families.

Student volunteers from the CS Dept. gave tours of the Electronic Visualization Lab (EVL) to prospective students with the help of faculty members (not pictured) Andy Johnson, Luc Renambot and Liz Marai.
