We are looking for several Ph.D. students to join the group. The DBGroup at University of Illinois, Chicago conducts cutting-edge data management research in data integration & cleaning, uncertain data management, provenance, data science, computational notebooks, explanations, fairness, and (distributed) database systems. You will participate in developing the next generation systems and algorithmic foundations that solve open challenges in data management.

The database group at UIC lead by Boris is working on research in the broad area of data management. Our group is working on a wide range of topics in data management and data science. We strive to build real systems that are based on a solid theoretical foundations. Our work is published in top venues in databases such as SIGMOD and VLDB.
UIC
The University of Illinois at Chicago is a research-focused university located in Chicago. Once Prof. Glavic joins in Spring 2024, UIC will be ranked 15th in data management in the US csrankings.org.
