Goodrich Chapter 1.5 on arrays (should be review) and Goodrich 2.3 on Exceptions.
If you prefer on-line sources, the Sun Java Tutorial is very good. Arrays are found on the ``Learning the Java Language'' trail (inside of ``Language Basics''), and exceptions on the ``Essential Java Classes'' trail.
If needed, read all of Goodrich Chapter 1 as review of 100-level CS course.
