Lab 1

For this lab, you will send email to the CS 100 instructor account and post a message on Blackboard. The use of email and Blackboard will be important tools for this course. The purpose of this lab is to ensure that everyone knows how to use them.

Lab Assignment 1

1. Send an Email to the CS 100 Instructor Account

   Your email must be sent from your UIC account. This can be accessed either through WebMail or pine on icarus. The email address of the CS 100 Instructor Account is i100@cs.uic.edu. This email must contain an appropriate subject, such as: CS 100 Lab 1 Email. The body of the email should contain your name and a short description of the purpose of the email.

2. Post a Message in the Lab 1 Discussion Board Area for CS 100

   Your post must contain the following items:

   1. Your Name
   2. Your Major
   3. Your Year Standing (Freshman, Sophomore, etc.)
   4. What you hope to get/learn from this course.
   5. A favorite joke, riddle or quotation.
