2 Several Grading notes
- Usually, for a
stand-alone RMI client application, you don't have to use dynamically
downloaded stub classes. When you run the Client, just make sure the stub
classes are in the class path of your java client application. In the
meanwhile, if you run the rmiregistry in the directory where your stub class
files are, then you don't have to specify Security Manager for either of your
RMI server and client applications which then removes the need of a policy
file. In case of a applet client, however, the typical way of doing it is to
have the stub classes downloaded by specifying the codebase property and also
turn on the security manager and policy file.
- If your client
GUI expects a format for the date input, you need to give the hint to the
end-user rather than have them guess by making error inputs.
