Greetings!
I am was a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer Science, University of illinois at Chicago. The above photo was taken in Nova Scotia, Canada, 2008.
My research interests focus on Data Mining and Database, under the advising of Professor Philip S. Yu. I also work closely with Dr. Charu C. Aggarwal at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, New York. In addition, I work with talents from eBay Research Labs, Linkedin and UIC on a number of interesting problems, e.g., eBay resale market study, manget community and social roles discovery in Linkedin professional social network.
I defended my Ph.D. dissertation successfully in March 2013 and graduated officially in May 2013. I joined a startup, Sumo Logic, as a data scientist right after graduation, focusing on large-scale data stream mining and analytics in the cloud. In the meantime, I'm the co-founder of ScissorsFly.
