In general, I will not give reading assignments; I will expect you to read the obvious sections of the textbook.
However, you can begin by reviewing Chapters 1, 2, and 4.1-4.3, and reading Chapter 4.4 (I will cover the proof of the "Master Theorem" for recurrences in class.)
